ezyVet's AI-Assisted Notes beta ends November 1
ezyVet posted the notice in its Knowledge Center on October 12. The AI-Assisted Notes beta closes on November 1 and new sign-ups are already closed. ezyVet now points clinics to CoVet (an IDEXX company) for AI notes. Notes you already approved stay in your clinical records. AI Patient History Summarization is not affected and stays in beta. ezyVet says it will share more about existing recordings and transcripts "soon." Read ezyVet's notice.
If your team uses it, you have just over a week. Your realistic options:
CoVet. The path ezyVet recommends. Since September 25, CoVet's ezyVet integration has no extra fee, though you need a CoVet subscription (CoVet help article). Plans start at $45.83/user/mo on annual billing for 100 records a month; Unlimited is $99. CoVet listing
A different scribe. VetRec has a certified direct ezyVet integration, but it adds a per-clinic monthly fee that isn't published. ScribbleVet, PawfectNotes and Scribenote get notes into ezyVet through browser extensions. Talkatoo types into any text field.
Free tiers while you decide. PawfectNotes has a free plan (50 sessions a month) and Scribenote has a free plan on its standard models. Fine for a trial run, so nobody goes back to typing every note on November 2.
What to check before you switch scribes
How the note gets into ezyVet: direct integration, browser extension, or copy and paste. Ask for a demo of the export step on a real consult.
Whether the price is per user or per vet, and whether there's a monthly record cap.
Integration add-on fees. Some vendors charge extra for the PMS connection.
Trial terms. VetRec and ScribbleVet offer 14 days; Talkatoo has a 30-day money-back guarantee instead of a trial.
What happens to your old ezyVet recordings and transcripts. Ask ezyVet support before November 1.
