OpenBark: price, integrations and free trial

Beta: not yet validated in real clinics. source checked 2026-10-26

OpenBark can be used free. Free (open source, Apache-2.0): no subscription, no per-vet or per-visit fees. We found no direct connection to any practice software; notes go in by copy-paste (plain text, formatted text or Markdown; no direct integration yet). Free trial: not needed (free download).

Free, open-source (Apache-2.0) AI scribe from the ANI.ML Health team that records and drafts notes on the clinic's own computer (Windows, macOS, Linux; 16 GB memory), with no cloud copy, no account and no subscription. Every line of the draft links back to what was said, and numbers not in the transcript block signing. No practice-software integration yet: notes are copied into whatever PIMS the clinic uses (PIMS integration is listed as coming). Source code went public on GitHub on Oct 19, 2026.

"Direct or built in" means the vendor documents a server, API or native connection. "Browser extension" means an add-on writes into a web-based PMS. Software missing from this table means we couldn't confirm it, which is different from it not working.
