How to choose between them

Start with your practice software. On Provet, CoVet is the one with a confirmed connection. On Instinct, it's VetRec. If you're on ezyVet or Cornerstone or AVImark or Covetrus Pulse or Vetspire or Shepherd or ImproMed, both work, so look at how: a direct connection pulls in your schedule and sends the note back to the right patient, while an extension types it into the open record.

Then price it for your clinic, not per seat. Both include support staff on their main plan, so the bill is roughly vets times the per-vet price. Our ranking says nothing about note accuracy; we haven't tested either, so run both trials on the same appointments.

Where they differ

VetRec also sells a separate AI receptionist, which the scribe price doesn't cover. CoVet is the scribe ezyVet now points its own AI-notes users to; if that's why you're looking, see ezyVet AI notes alternatives.

Questions clinics ask

CoVet and VetRec both charge $99 per vet per month for unlimited use on annual billing. On entry plans it's $45.83 for CoVet against $99 for VetRec, but those plans cap your notes.

Which works with more practice software?

Which is better for ezyVet, CoVet or VetRec?

Both connect directly and both are certified. The difference is cost: CoVet's ezyVet connection has no extra fee since Sept 25, 2026, while VetRec adds a monthly per-clinic fee it doesn't publish. Ask VetRec for that number before comparing.

Which is cheaper on Cornerstone?

On published prices, unlimited is $99 per vet per month at CoVet and $99 at VetRec. CoVet adds $35/month per Cornerstone server for its Cornerstone connection; VetRec's Cornerstone help article doesn't mention a separate fee, so confirm that in a demo.
